“Get paid to be healthy” was the first line we wrote, and for a while it was the whole pitch. Then we read it as a stranger would.
What was wrong
It sounds like a survey app or a crypto scheme. Anything that promises to pay you for nothing puts people on guard — and the people we want are exactly the ones who’ve learned to be.
What we chose
We weighed “Stay healthy. Get paid for it.” against “Health, Rewarded.” and picked the second. It’s calmer, it sounds like something you’d be admitted to rather than sold, and it leaves the explanation to the page.
What else changed
- We say rewards — “$441 a year in rewards” — not savings, cashback or premiums. People don’t think about their premium.
- We don’t call it a community. Places are limited because of how the model works, and we say so plainly.
- Bringing friends moves you up the list. That’s the only game.
