Walking Union and Chestnut

Before we could promise anyone a better price, we needed every price. So we started with two streets.

Sweat Equity only works if it’s dense. A member who lives in the Marina wants the reformer class, the sauna and the yoga studio they can walk to — not the best deal across town.

Why two streets

Union Street and Chestnut Street hold most of the studios our first members already use. Starting there means every price we collect is one a real person nearby is paying, and every studio we talk to is around the corner from the next.

What counts

We only price fixed session packs: ten classes, eight sauna sessions, a set number of visits. Memberships are out. An unlimited membership can’t be split across a group or bought in bulk, so it can’t be part of a stack.

How it’s kept

Every studio’s public pricing goes into plain tables — one row per pack, with the drop-in price beside it. No database server. The tables are checked every morning, and everything else we build reads from them, so a price changes in one place.

Two streets is a start. As each neighborhood fills in, the book grows toward thousands of packs.
