Texts and opt-in

We only text people who ask us to, by typing their own number into our sign-up form. Here is exactly what that looks like.

How you opt in

On healthrewarded.store, a person enters their first name and mobile number and taps Start earning. The disclosure below sits directly under the form, before they submit. Nobody is added from a purchased list, a contact upload or a third party, and agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything.

Your number stays with us. We don't sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with anyone, except the text provider that delivers our messages for us.

Terms

The deal between you and Sweat Equity, in plain English. By joining the list or using the site, you agree to these.

What Sweat Equity is

Sweat Equity books the classes and wellness services you already use at partner studios in San Francisco, and passes savings back to you as rewards. We're early. The product, the studios we work with and the rewards will change as we learn, and we'll tell you before anything that affects you does.

The waitlist

• Joining is free. Places are limited because of how the model works, so we let people in as groups come together.
• Your position can move up when friends join through your invite links. Positions are our best estimate, not a promise of a date.
• Your private member link is for you. Please don't post it publicly.

Your card

• To hold your spot we ask for a card. Nothing is charged when you add it. It shows you're a real person and keeps your place.
• Card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• We won't charge you for a membership until you've seen the price and said yes to it. You can remove your card and leave the list at any time by texting us.

Membership and rewards

• When you become a member, you'll see your monthly plan, its price and your expected rewards before you pay. Cancel any time before your next month starts and you won't be charged again.
• Rewards are a thank-you, worked out from what we save on your bookings. They may be cash back or perks like a scan, a recovery session or a smoothie. Estimates on the site are estimates; the amount we confirm to you is the amount you get.
• Rewards have no cash value outside what we tell you they're worth, can't be transferred, and may expire if your membership ends. If we ever wind down, we'll honour rewards you've already earned.
• Classes booked through us follow the studio's own late-cancel and no-show rules. If something goes wrong, text us. We'd rather fix it than argue about it.

Studios and your health

• Classes and services are run by the studios, not by us. Each studio's own waiver and rules apply when you're there.
• Check with a doctor before starting anything new, and train within your limits. We're not responsible for injuries at a studio or for a studio's service.
• Nothing on this site is medical advice.

Fair use

Be honest when you sign up, use one account per person, and don't game the invite system with fake numbers. If someone abuses the program, we may remove them from the list or cancel their membership, and we'll refund anything they've paid for a month they won't get.

The legal bits

• The site is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but can't promise it'll always be either.
• To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you've paid us in the last three months.
• These terms are governed by California law. If we disagree about something, let's talk first; most things get sorted with a text.
• We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll text you before it takes effect. Keeping your membership after that means you accept it; if you don't, you can leave without penalty.

Privacy

We collect as little as we can, use it to run Sweat Equity for you, and never sell it.

What we collect

• What you give us: your first name, mobile number and, if you tell us, your neighbourhood and the studios and classes you like.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits, not your card number.
• How you use the service: classes booked or attended, rewards earned, invites sent and accepted, and texts you send us.
• Basic site data: pages visited, the page that sent you to us and rough device information, used to understand what's working.

How we use it

• To hold your place, text you your link and updates, and run your membership.
• To book classes for you, which may mean sharing your name with the studio you're booked into.
• To work out your rewards and plan demand with our partner studios (studios see totals, not your personal details, unless you're booked with them).
• To improve the product. We may share anonymous, combined numbers publicly, as we do in Labs, but never anything that identifies you.

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run Sweat Equity, and only what they need: Stripe for payments, our text provider for messages, and our hosting and database providers. Partner studios get what they need to book you in. We don't sell your information, and we don't share your number or text consent with anyone for marketing.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to stop texts at any time.
• Text us to see what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. We'll do it promptly, keeping only what we're required to keep for payments and tax.
• If you're in California, you have the rights the CCPA gives you, including to know, delete and correct your information, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

Keeping it safe

Your data is stored with established providers, encrypted in transit, and accessible only to the people running Sweat Equity. Member links are private and hard to guess. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong, we'll tell you quickly.

Age

Sweat Equity is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we'll update this page and text you first.
